Everyone was born with something unique and special. This is something that I have learnt during my Easter holidays.

Today I want to talk about birthmarks. First of all let's explain them: a birthmark is benign irregularity on the skin which is present at birth. They can occur anywhere on the skin.

Birthmarks can be noticeable or it can be hidden (with clothes, for instance). Therefore, when it is easily seen we all need to stop judging people on first impressions. But when it is not easy to notice and it can perfectly hidden. In this situation you are not exposed to people's comments as long as you don't make the decision of showing it.
Once in a while you think to yourself: what would happen if they find out I have something different? The first thing that comes to my mind is the fear of rejection.

Nevertheless, society has a serious problem. Mass media persuades us to believe in the existence of the perfect body when it is all an illusion. Everyone has birthmarks, cellulite, stretch marks or any other disease. No one is completely happy with their body.

You have to realize that your body will be with you for the rest of your life. Learn to love and accept it. Feel confidence and proud of it. I know it is hard to say it but difficult to put it into practice. And the most important thing that you must keep in mind: don't let people's comments make you feel bad about yourself. You are not less than them, you just have something that distinguish yourself from others and in some cases it can be an advantage.

Meeting people facing similar problems can be helpful. Exchanging different experiences, points of view is always rewarding.

Think about it,
